Terms and Conditions of Transcriptions UK
The parties agree to the following which covers all products and services which the Client has purchased or ordered from Transcriptions UK:
Definition
In these Terms and Conditions Transcriptions UK may do the work or they may pass the work on to someone else on our behalf. The sub-contractor must agree with the terms and conditions of Transcriptions UK
QuotationsTranscriptions UK will give the client an idea of how much the work the client wants doing will cost. The work will only be done once the quotation is agreed to in writing.
Prices quoted are only correct for 1 month from the date of the quotation.
Prices quoted do not include delivery to the Clients address. Postage and packaging will be added to the final invoice.
It is important that the Client tells Transcriptions UK exactly how they want the work doing and in what accessible format. It is up to the client to tell us by what date they need the work doing.
Transcriptions
Transcriptions UK will not do any work which could be against the law, rude, or which treats disabled people unfairly.
If the client gives Transcriptions UK the wrong material which makes the work of Transcriptions UK invalid, then it will not be Transcriptions UK’s fault.
It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that any material passed to Transcriptions UK for transcribing into the clients’ specified format/s is correct, ready for transcribing and is not unlawful.
Transcriptions UK will make every effort to transcribe all audio transcription dictation work provided by the client accurately. Where any audio voice is unclear, Transcriptions will highlight this accordingly.
Proof of work carried out may be given if the client asks for it so they can make sure it is what they asked for.
If the client does not correct any mistakes when they are looking at the proofs, then this is not the fault of Transcriptions UK.
If the client wants to add more work to the proofs then this will be added to the final invoice.
If Transcriptions UK make any mistakes, we will put this right free of charge.
Transcriptions UK LogoThis will be used if the customer agrees.
CancellationIf the client wishes to cancel their order then Transcriptions UK will ask for the invoice to be paid at the price agreed in the quotation for any work that has already been done and for any special materials that have been ordered.
Dispatch
Transcriptions UK will do its best to stick to the agreed dates for completing and posting the work. However, this is not part of the quotation.
Returns
Clients will be told when the completed work will be posted. It is up to the client to tell Transcriptions UK of any damaged, non delivery, or loss of goods in transit within 7 working days.
Transcriptions UK shall not be blamed for damaged, non delivery or loss of goods.
If the client wishes to use a different method of postage other than standard 1st class, then the client should specify this when agreeing the quotation.
Payment
All Transcriptions UK invoices must be paid within 30 days of the date on the invoice. Invoices will be sent when the completed work is sent to the client. Payment is to be made in sterling unless agreed otherwise.
Copyright
It is up to the client to get the right to copy any text and other material they are using. A copy of that right should be given by the client to Transcriptions UK if they ask for it.
If the client gives Transcriptions UK the wrong information to be transcribed into an accessible format and it is against the law then Transcriptions UK will not be at fault. It will be the clients fault and they will have to make it right themselves.
Liability
The client is able to weigh up the value of the materials given for work to be done and the damage caused by errors in goods and services given.
Since Transcriptions UK cannot weigh up the value or damage, Transcriptions UK responsibility is to the client. This means that Transcriptions UK will only pay for damaged work to the amount on the bill.
Third Parties
Only agents or employees of Transcriptions UK can use the Terms and Conditions under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties Act) 1999.
Confidentiality
All information received by Transcriptions UK, whether this be written information or voice recorded information shall be treated as confidential. Such information will not be used for any purpose other than what is agreed between the client and Transcriptions UK. Information will not be disclosed to a third party unless agreed in writing by the client to that effect.
